It's been an interesting road that has led us to the British Labrador. We began raising and training our own American Labs over 10 years ago. Our labs were phenomenal hunting dogs, yet still our family pets. And while the labs made great hunting companions, they were not always easy to train or to work with in the hunting

field. The labs always got the job done - as long as you were willing to spend long hours training them and providing continual follow up work.

 

Over the years, I started guiding hunts at various game farms as well as "wild" hunts for both private parties as well as corporate groups. Due to the large number of birds my labs and

I were hunting, there came a time when I needed to get a few more labs to help handle the volume.

 

Around that time, we were introduced to British Labradors. This breed is unique in that they are natural born hunters yet very easy to train and handle in the field. We've literally had British Labs hunting in the field at 4 months

of age. The next section - "More About British Labs" - gives much more in-depth information on the characteristics of the British Labrador.

We had finally found what we consider to be the perfect breed of dog for our needs: a dog that is easy to train, that has phenomenal scenting and hunting abilities, incredible stamina, and a calm, friendly

demeanor. A dog that will hunt his heart out all day long, day after day, and then curl up on the couch with you at night - a truly phenomenal breed of dog.

Hunters immediately began asking us if we had labs available, which led us to begin importing and breeding British Labs. We have many happy customers - we'll be putting some of

them on the web site soon! And some of those customers have been so thrilled with their first lab that they've purchased another one!

We've come a long way in our journey to the British Lab. We've made some great friends and had some great times. It's been a long journey, but the best is yet to come!
